Getting Started with Tagsight

Quick Start

  1. Sign up at tagsight.net — you get 5 free page credits after verifying your email
  2. Upload a P&ID PDF — click "Upload" and select your file (max 100MB, up to 200 pages)
  3. Wait for processing — Tagsight's AI extracts instrument tags from each page (typically 1-3 minutes)
  4. Review the results — check extracted instruments, edit any corrections
  5. Export — download as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV

What You Get

For each P&ID page, Tagsight extracts:

  • Tag numbers (e.g., FIT-101, PSH-200, TIC-305)
  • Instrument types (e.g., Flow Indicating Transmitter, Pressure Switch High)
  • Signal classification (AI, AO, DI, DO per ISA 5.1)
  • Description of what the instrument measures or controls
  • Confidence score indicating how certain the AI is about each extraction
  • Page reference showing which drawing the instrument was found on

Tips for Best Results

  • Vector PDFs produce better results than scanned images
  • High resolution scans (200+ DPI) improve accuracy on scanned drawings
  • Standard ISA 5.1 instrument bubbles are recognized most reliably
  • Each page in your PDF consumes one credit, including title blocks and cover pages
